Sunny Brook Stables Riding Academy
Sunny Brook Stables offers riding lessons primarily for beginner and novice children ages 4–18, with additional lesson availability for older teens and adults. Our goal is to create confident riders in a supportive, encouraging environment where learning is both safe and fun.
We believe in teaching through positive reinforcement, motivating each rider to reach their highest potential. Lessons are thoughtfully paced to match every student’s individual needs and experience level. If your child has never ridden a horse before, we are excited to introduce them to the equestrian sport and guide them as they work toward their personal riding goals in a professional and welcoming setting.
In our SBS Academy, students develop a strong foundation in both riding and horsemanship. Lessons go beyond the saddle and include:
- Horsemanship and horse behavior
- Stewardship, grooming and proper horse care
- Tack care and equipment knowledge
- Weekly riding skill development
Students work through our assessment and level program, building skills and equine knowledge week by week to ensure a well-rounded riding education. We provide well-mannered, safe lesson horses and ponies suited to a variety of abilities and personalities. All necessary tack, helmets, and equipment are available to help students get started with confidence.
Our riding clinics offer a fun and educational introduction to life around horses. Riders will experience:
- A safety overview for handling and being around equine
- Instruction on grooming and tacking
- Basic leading and handling skills
Our Philosophy
Our trainers are passionate about teaching all aspects of riding, horsemanship, and basic horse care and stewardship. Riders of all levels participate for fun, competition, and the love of the horse.

Academy instruction is $300 per month for weekly one-on-one or group lessons based on age and level.
