Red Heart Horse Retirement, Rehab & Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing exceptional lifelong care, compassionate stewardship, and renewed purpose for aging, retired, rehabilitating, rescued, hospice, and sanctuary horses.
We believe every horse deserves dignity, purpose, and compassionate care throughout every stage of life. Whether a horse arrives after years of faithful service, through rescue, in need of rehabilitation, or requiring hospice support, each is valued not for what they can do—but for who they are.

As the nonprofit partner of Sunny Brook Stables, Red Heart Horse creates opportunities for people of all ages to connect with horses through education, stewardship, service, and meaningful experiences. Together, we inspire compassion, responsibility, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for horse welfare while honoring the unique story of every horse entrusted to our care.

Our vision extends beyond the horses we care for today.

As Red Heart Horse grows, we envision thoughtfully expanding our impact through equine-assisted learning, wellness, and therapeutic programs that serve children, adults, seniors, veterans, and others who can benefit from the unique connection between horses and humans.

Future programs will be developed intentionally and responsibly through qualified professional partnerships, appropriate certifications, experienced staff, and sustainable infrastructure to ensure the highest standards of care for both horses and participants.

Today, our primary focus remains providing exceptional lifelong care for our horses while educating and inspiring the next generation of compassionate horse stewards.
